Coverage Highlights Key Fibroid Awareness Event Takeaways

July 30,2024

We are pleased to announce that MM+M (Medical Marketing and Media) has recently featured our annual fibroid awareness event, ‘A Night in Full Bloom,’ in New York City. The article highlights the event where attendees, including renowned fibroid fighters, gathered in Times Square to discuss the impact of fibroids and the importance of education and awareness.

Attendees wore purple attire as they shared their personal experiences and insights about fibroids. The coverage featured stories from celebrities like Cynthia Bailey and her sister Malorie, who openly discussed their struggles with fibroids and the subsequent impact on their

lives. It also provided an overview of treatment options, emphasizing less invasive procedures such as uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) as alternatives to hysterectomies.

Dr. Yan Katsnelson, founder of the Fibroid Fighters Foundation, highlighted the prevalence of fibroids, emphasizing that by age 50, 80% of Black women and 70% of White women will experience them. Despite their commonality, fibroids remain misunderstood and misdiagnosed, underscoring the crucial need for events like ‘A Night in Full Bloom.’

The article stresses the importance of women prioritizing their health and seeking timely treatment for fibroids. It also emphasizes the need for increased conversation and awareness to break the stigma surrounding fibroids.
