From Atlanta to National News: Fibroid Fighters Brunch Makes Headlines

June 17,2024

The Fibroid Fighters Foundation’s Mother’s Day Brunch is making waves after being featured in People Magazine! The Atlanta-based event, held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 aimed to raise awareness about fibroids, a common health condition impacting millions of women, while celebrating motherhood. Hosted by Cynthia Bailey, “Let’s Get Real About Fibroids” and Celebrity Make Up Artist Kym Lee, a panel discussion on fibroids with her sister Malorie Bailey and Eugenia Buie, founder of Overcomers Ministry Group provided details about how fibroid disease affect their professional and personal lives.

The brunch not only provided a beautiful setting for moms and families, but also featured a panel discussion with inspiring speakers. Guests learned about fibroids, treatment options, and the importance of early detection.

“We are thrilled to have received recognition from People Magazine,” said Dr. Yan Katsnelson, Founder of the Fibroid Fighters Foundation. “This national exposure will help us reach a wider audience and continue our mission of empowering women with knowledge about fibroids.”

The positive coverage extends beyond People Magazine. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution also highlighted the event, showcasing the local impact of the Fibroid Fighters Foundation.

The successful brunch not only fostered community and celebrated mothers, but also raised awareness about fibroid disease and treatment options. Sponsor support will be used to provide educational resources, help with research initiatives, and advocate for better access to treatment for women with fibroids.
